April 25th updates on Expo 2025

Evans Designs will be sponsoring lighting kits for our raffle. We can't wait to see these and post them to the raffle page. Sabot Miniatures will also be sponsoring something in our raffle. Stay tuned! A large assortment of raffle items have rolled in and we have some exciting items. We will be posting pictures soon.

Exciting update for April 5, 2025!!
DoubleTree by Hilton, the location of Expo, has included a large block of rooms for attendees at a discounted price. Go to the Main Expo page and scroll to the bottom where the hotel information is located and there is a link to reserve your room. If you've reserved a room directly through them, or through an alternate trip website, you'll need to cancel those reservations and reserve through the link to get the discounted rate or call the hotel and try to move your reservation over. Remember, you won't get the discount at any of the other hotels. Only at the Expo's host hotel, Double Tree, by Hilton.
Meetings
The next TSSM meeting will be held, Saturday, April 19th from 12 to 2 PM, or whenever we call it quits, at KARS Hobby Shop in Dunbar, WV. The agenda will include the upcoming Expo and a reviewing and continuation of the Judges Class, along with lots of show and tell and finding your favorite goodies in the hobby shop. Hope to see you there!
Expo News
We are marching towards Tri-State Scale Model Expo 2025! Get your models ready.

At our last meeting, the members voted to add another award level, Platinum, which will go along with the gold, silver, and bronze awards. This award will be given out to select exhibitors when the need arises, based on the judging process and will represent a new level of recognition for display in craftsmanship. If you want to find out more about the Platinum award, you'll just have to attend the Expo and find out.

The gold, silver and bronze awards are being completed as we speak. Thanks to Kevin at KARS Hobby Shop for the extra effort in making this a reality. When we get the final product, we'll post it on the Expo page.

Sponsored Award levels and prices were voted on by the members and are posted on the Expo page, so go check it out, and let us know if you want to sponsor something.

We've added another model producer-vendor to the show. Let's welcome ESS Resinworks. They specialize in 3D printed accessories. They are the third model producer-vendor we welcome to the Expo, along with STS Scale Model Decals, and Mojo Modelworks.
